HGV workshop equipment for commercial vehicle repair.
Liftmaster Commercial supplies the workshop equipment used alongside commercial vehicle lifts and inspection pits: transmission jacks for heavy gearboxes, king pin presses for steer-axle work, hub pullers for commercial axles and pit jacks for work carried out over an inspection pit.
Commercial vehicle workshop equipment
Heavy-vehicle workshop equipment is selected around the vehicles, the bay layout and the job it needs to perform.

About pit jacks ›Pit jacks for commercial inspection pits
A pit jack raises an axle from inside the inspection pit so the wheels can be unloaded for inspection, brake work, bearing work and suspension repairs. In a testing lane it works alongside equipment such as the play detector.
What a pit jack is used for
With an axle raised, wheels can be turned and moved by hand. That is how bearing play, suspension wear and brake condition are checked on a commercial vehicle over a pit. The same lift lets the technician take weight off an axle for brake, bearing and suspension repairs without moving the vehicle to a lift.
In a testing bay, the pit jack works alongside the lane equipment. The play detector checks joints under load and the pit jack raises the axle when a wheel needs to be checked free. Both are planned into the same pit.
See commercial inspection pits for the pit itself, and ATF equipment and test lanes for how the jack fits into a complete lane.
What we talk through before you choose
The pit it runs in
Pit width and the rail or edge arrangement determine which jack can be accommodated.
The axles it lifts
Vehicle and axle information is needed before a jack is specified. No capacity should be assumed from vehicle type alone.
Travel along the pit
The jack needs to reach the axle positions used during inspection and repair.
Working with lane equipment
In a testing bay, the pit jack must work around the brake tester, play detector and other equipment planned into the pit.
Equipment that works with your lifts and pits
Liftmaster can plan the heavy-vehicle workshop equipment alongside the commercial lift or inspection pit rather than treating each item in isolation.
Commercial vehicle lifts
Mobile column, four-post, scissor and parallelogram lifts for HGV, PSV, bus and fleet work.
