Commercial vehicle workshop equipment, from lifts to complete test lanes.
Liftmaster Commercial supplies equipment for HGV, PSV, bus, coach and fleet workshops, maintenance depots and testing facilities. The range covers commercial vehicle lifts, brake testing, ATF equipment and test lanes, inspection pits, play detection and heavy-vehicle workshop equipment. Liftmaster can survey, specify, install, commission and support the equipment through its own engineers and trusted subcontractors.
HGV garage equipment for workshops and testing lanes
Use the Commercial section to choose the equipment around the job: lifting, brake testing and load simulation, play detection, headlamp beam testing, inspection pits, ATF lanes or heavy-vehicle workshop equipment.
Lifts for HGV, PSV and fleet workshops
Four lift types cover different commercial workshop layouts, from movable column sets to fixed recessed platforms. Current ranges extend from 2,500kg per mobile column to 35,000kg parallelogram lifts.
Mobile Column Lifts
Wireless mobile columns suit mixed fleets and bays that cannot be dedicated to one fixed lift. The current range starts at 2,500kg per column and can be configured in multi-column sets.
View range ›4-Post Lifts
Surface-mounted drive-on lifts provide a permanent inspection or service bay for commercial vehicles, with platform lengths in the current range extending to 9,000mm.
View range ›Scissor Lifts
Recessed full-rise scissor lifts keep the bay clear when lowered and leave the sides of the vehicle open for workshop access.
View range ›Parallelogram Lifts
Recessed parallelogram lifts cover the heaviest applications in the current range, including 25,000kg and 35,000kg units with platform lengths up to 14,500mm.
View range ›Brake testing and play detection
Commercial brake testing is specified separately from load simulation, play detection and headlamp beam testing, although the equipment is often planned as one HGV or PSV testing lane.
Brake TestersCommercial brake testers
Liftmaster supplies Capelec and BM Autoteknik commercial roller brake testers for fixed and mobile HGV and PSV testing applications, with installation and calibration planned around the lane.
View brake testers ›Commercial play detectors
Commercial play detectors move the wheels under load so steering and suspension movement can be inspected from the pit or testing position.
View play detectors ›Load simulation for unladen vehicles
Load simulation is used with commercial brake testing where an unladen or part-laden vehicle does not place enough weight over the axle for a representative brake-force reading. It is planned with the brake tester and, where required, the inspection pit.
About load simulation ›Headlamp aim, car to HGV
The Capelec CAP2500 is the current commercial headlamp beam tester in the range, covering mixed sites that handle vehicles from cars through to HGVs.
View headlamp beam testers ›Commercial inspection pits
Inspection pits provide under-vehicle access for HGV and PSV maintenance and can form part of an ATF test lane. Liftmaster plans the pit around the brake tester, play detector, pit jacks and the way vehicles move through the bay. Existing pits and recesses can also be surveyed before replacement or additional testing equipment is specified.

Complete ATF lanes, planned as one job
Liftmaster can coordinate the ATF lane as one equipment project, including the roller brake tester, commercial play detector, inspection-pit or ramp layout, headlamp testing and the other testing equipment required by the proposed lane.
Complete ATF test lanes
ATF test lanes are planned for HGV and PSV testing using the appropriate commercial testing equipment and layout. Liftmaster supplies and installs the equipment, calibrates it where required and supports the commissioning process.
Plan an ATF lane ›Class 5 MOT bays
Class 5 MOT bays are separate from ATF lanes. Liftmaster can also specify and install Class 5 bays for passenger vehicles with 13 or more seats, using the equipment and layout required for that test class.
Class 5 MOT bays ›Heavy-duty workshop equipment
The Commercial workshop range covers equipment used for gearbox, axle, steering and hub work on HGVs, buses, coaches and trailers.
HGV Transmission Jacks
For supporting, lowering and refitting heavy commercial vehicle gearboxes and transmissions.
View range ›King Pin Presses
Including the LMKPP65, Liftmaster's own king pin press for commercial steer-axle work.
View range ›Hub Pullers
For drawing commercial wheel hubs from drive, steer and trailer axles during bearing, seal and brake work.
View range ›Pit Jacks
For lifting commercial axles from inside an inspection pit during maintenance and testing work.
About pit jacks ›Installation, commissioning and support
Liftmaster surveys the site and checks the floor, power, drainage and existing pit or recesses against the proposed equipment. Installation and commissioning are then carried out to the relevant equipment requirements. For lifting equipment, LOLER thorough examination can be completed where applicable. Commercial testing equipment is calibrated and commissioned to the requirements that apply to it. Ongoing servicing and breakdown support are provided through Liftmaster’s own engineers and trusted subcontractors.
