Capelec CAP2500 headlamp beam tester

A mobile headlamp beam tester used across mixed commercial sites, from cars through to HGVs.

CAP2500

Read the same way on every vehicle

The CAP2500 is a mobile headlamp beam tester used across mixed commercial sites. It is positioned against the vehicle so headlamp aim can be checked consistently on vehicles ranging from cars to HGVs.

In a testing lane it sits alongside the commercial brake tester and play detector, so headlamp aim is checked in the same visit.

Where It Fits

Headlamp testing in commercial workshops

Headlamp beam testing is normally considered alongside the other equipment in a commercial testing lane, and is also used in fleet workshops preparing vehicles for test.

Testing lanes

As part of an ATF lane

The headlamp tester is positioned in the lane so the vehicle can complete the headlamp check as part of the same commercial testing workflow.

Fleet workshops

Before the vehicle goes for test

Fleet and maintenance workshops can also use headlamp beam testing before a vehicle is presented for its annual test.

Mixed sites

One tester, cars to HGVs

Where the same workshop handles light and heavy vehicles, the CAP2500 provides the mixed-vehicle coverage described for this Commercial range.

Positioning

Planned into the bay

A headlamp tester only reads consistently if the vehicle and the tester stand in the right place. We look at where it sits in relation to the inspection pit and the brake tester when we plan the bay, and set it up at installation.

Survey

Where the vehicle stands

The floor area and vehicle standing position need to suit the headlamp test and the rest of the lane layout. Liftmaster checks the planned position in relation to the inspection pit and brake-testing equipment.

Installation & Support

Installation and support

Liftmaster surveys the bay, confirms the planned position and installs the headlamp tester. Ongoing servicing and breakdown support are provided through Liftmaster’s own engineers and trusted subcontractors.
